Every year after Thanksgiving I find my skin looking dull, pasty and grey. This year, as the temperatures dropped like a rock in Washington DC, my skin was looking awful and I was feeling blah. So I retreated to my bathroom and kitchen cabinets in search of the perfect cocktail for glowing holiday skin. Here it is: A glycolic peel + 15% vitamin C + my special detox glow soup.
Step 1: M-61 Skincare PowerGlow® Glycolic Peel - Those of you that know me know I can't live without my favorite creation - PowerGlow® Peels! I always say this is my greatest contribution to the beauty industry. Deeply exfoliating without being irritating, this is my miracle product for glowing skin. Just swipe a peel pad all over your face and wait a minute before the next step.
Step 2: M-61 Skincare Vitablast C Serum - Slather this 15% vitamin C on your face. It builds elasticity, brightens, and this serum is combined with gallic acid to reduce dark spots. From time to time I forget how magical vitamin C serums are!
Step 3: Marla's Detox Glow Soup - This is my own concoction. I throw a carton of Imagine No Chicken vegetarian broth in a pot with 2 tablespoons fresh ginger and 2-3 cups chopped carrots (half moons about 1/4 inch thick). I let this boil for about 5 minutes and then throw in 1/2 - 3/4 bag of spinach and/or kale. Sometimes I add garlic, cumin, and cayenne for more flavor and sometimes I don't. Sometimes I purée the soup using a handheld stick blender and sometimes I don't. I always keep this in the fridge! Trust me - your skin will look amazing from this!
I am so happy with my holiday cocktail and wish you all a warm, healthy and happy holiday season!!!
