Job Description

The Planning Assistant position is the gateway into the Bluemercury Planning and Merchandising organization. Reporting to the Vice President of Planning, the successful candidate will become familiar with all of Bluemercury’s planning systems and tools, expand his/her knowledge and facility with Excel, develop a thorough understanding of back office retail practices and position himself/herself for advancement in the company.

Job Requirements
• 0-1 year experience; retail internships a plus
• Bachelor's degree; retail or fashion-related degree a plus
• Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Job Duties
• Process all replenishment orders for the team – confirm receipt with vendor and monitor timely shipping
• Generate weekly replenishment orders for select vendors and SKUs
• Arrange stock transfers from warehouse to stores as directed
• Maintain SKU-level information in the product database
• Assist with the creation of weekly sales reports
