Garrett (above right): An anti-aging serum. I try different ones, but I’ve been using a lot of iS Clinical, especially the vitamin C serum that’s super hydrating. Some products have this kind of smelly residue afterwards. It's really weird. They feel stinky. I don't know how to describe it more than that. I like iS Clinical products because they feel very clean, and they feel like they're doing their job. And they’re not filled with scents.
Bennett (at right): When I do it—and I should do more of it—my skin just feels a little healthier. Otherwise, I feel as though I’m going to break out. And the other thing is, I’m starting to get to the point where I'm a little bit sensitive to aging. Don't tell Garrett that! I’m starting to notice lines where stress shows up a little bit more. And I want people to know that I’m in a happy marriage, not a stressful marriage.
Any other skin musts?
Garrett: I like Dr. Barbara Sturm Super Anti-Aging Face Cream. I like the fact that it reduces the wrinkles on my face, obviously. I'm really trying to keep my skin hydrated. I'm surprised because I usually have really oily skin, and lately it's become drier. I think it's just environmental. But also, I love being in the sun, so I’m sure that has an effect on it as well.
What do you like about taking care of your skin?
Bennett: When I do it—and I should do more of it—my skin just feels a little healthier.
What’s a product you and Bennett share?
Garrett: I always think that scents are very personal. It's really understanding how they smell on your body because I don't think that every scent smells good on everyone. I like Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille. It's very smoky, and it's got a very rich vibe. Bennett wants me to wear it all the time. And he actually smells really good with Tobacco Vanille, too.
What’s one thing you find most beautiful about your husband?
Bennett: Garrett has a really big heart. That's what I love most. He's like a big kid. He just runs around and brings liveliness to everything he does. The same kind of excitement I’d get when I was six years-old because that's just who he is. Garrett loves life, and he loves people. And he's always genuine and always fun.
Garrett: Bennett is one of the most compassionate human beings on the planet, and he cares so much. He genuinely and authentically cares about people and circumstances, and takes great interest in people, and is always willing to help and always willing to be there for people—in good times or not. He’s my safe space, and I love that about him.
"Whatever Garrett has, I put on my face and hope for the best. But I do use SPF 50 sunscreen religiously.” —Bennett
So far, what’s been the best thing about being married?
Bennett: When we first met, we talked about—what do we want? What do we want to grow? I'm different from who I was years ago. I genuinely think I'm a better person. I'm a more confident person. I'm discovering parts of myself I didn't know that existed. The best part is that I'm excited. I'm excited every day to see what we do together or what we get to share with each other.
How do you celebrate the holidays?
Garrett: My family is very adamant about Christmas. My mom passed away a couple of years ago, and her favorite holiday was definitely Christmas. I'm very close to my family. And Bennett's, now, like a prominent fixture in our family, and he’s been welcomed with open arms. And Christmas is always a time of celebration and gratitude for having the family that we do. We always realize that—that the best gift is we have is each other and a family that loves one another and is always there for one another.

What does family mean to you?
Bennett: I think to both Garrett and I, it’s everybody you choose to spend time with, like I do with Garrett’s family now. We were all strangers once. So, there’s the people you're born with—that's family—but it's also other people you meet in your life. The best thing about Garrett—one of those things I love about him—is we love big. We welcome anybody we meet into our lives. And for better or for worse, you’re family now. So we make a conscious decision to choose the people we spend time with, and that’s family.
