What do you love about taking care of your skin?

I love having a routine, and skincare is a big part of my routine. Skin shows your overall condition—your health and everything else. So taking care of your skin and your appearance is basically taking care of your life. Everything appears on my skin: what I eat, how I sleep, how much I exercise, my stress level, my general health. Taking care of my skin well makes me strong! I really enjoy it.

What product are you always repurchasing?

RMS Beauty Living Luminizer—it’s like a highlighter. I don't wear that much makeup usually, and this blends into my skin, so it looks very natural. It just gives my face a glow. I apply it on my nose and forehead and around my eye area. It looks like I’m not wearing anything, but there’s still something. I’m sort of cheating in a way—it’s a great product! I use it every day. It’s a signature item for me.

Do you have any other beauty essentials?
I love perfume, actually. Florals, in general, although I’m not crazy about ylang ylang. I also really like woods and frankincense. Because I don't wear makeup that much, fragrance sort of gives me a different sense of beauty. It’s still something I’m doing for myself, but it’s not makeup. It’s very subtle. That’s what I like about wearing perfume.
Where do you find your confidence?
Well, I’m not sure if I’m really the confident type or not. But I tend to spend so much time alone and that makes me feel that I don't need to fit into a certain type of group. I can just be myself, which gives me confidence. I mean, I love spending time with people, but they say that you are your environment. So you become one of them. Being able to be comfortable by myself gives me an originality, in a way.

What’s your ideal morning?
I typically get up early, around sunrise—5:30 or 6:30, depending on the season. I practice yoga for half an hour, then make coffee. And I usually write in my journal, which takes half an hour to an hour. Routine is important to me. I have to do same thing every morning. If I miss it, I get stressed out for the rest of the day. So it’s really important not to miss it.
