What product is
always in your bag?

I don't know if people would know me for this one, actually. I have a skin salve in my bag at all times. I like keeping my lips moisturized. Plus, if your cuticles are dry, if the kids are dry, if your hands are dry, if you have rough spots or ashiness anywhere—you can use it for just about everything. It comes in handy for so many different situations and is a complete lifesaver.

Your skin is radiant. What’s your secret?

Thank you so much. That's one thing I get so excited about, because people always say that and I'm like, "Thank you, Mom." I feel like it has a lot to do with her. When I was growing up, my mom would always say, "Keep your hands off your face. Drink water for your skin." My mom still has great skin to this day. My skincare routine is pretty simple. But if I want extra radiance, I apply a bit of Supergoop Glowscreen before my Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick. It just gives a nice little glow underneath.

What’s another skincare must for you?
I like to do an extremely gentle peel every once in a while. My skin is very sensitive everywhere, so I don't use anything abrasive. You brush on this Odacité gel, wait, then rub it, and everything peels off. My skin is like, “Boom.” I notice that every time I use it, my freckles pop more. I have a light sprinkling of freckles, and I like to show them.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given recently?
Stop waiting for the perfect time. No situation is ever going to be perfect to start or be perfectly aligned with your perfect idea of what you want. Sometimes you just have to have strong faith, make that first move, and things will follow. Having faith is hard sometimes, especially in the world we live in, where you feel like, "I need to have everything in place before I make the next step." But I think the best advice I've heard was, "Hey, you have everything you need inside of you. Trust the process and take a leap forward. You'll be fine."
How does your beauty routine change in the spring?
The biggest change is definitely in my hair routine. I like to keep my hair braided up in the winter, but in the spring and summer, I just love to wash it and let it go. Let it curl and dry when I’m outside. It's easier.
What are your thoughts on fragrance?
I like florals, just in general, but especially rose. But I don't like anything too sweet or too feminine. It needs to have some musky, stronger undertones to it, like Tom Ford Rose Prick.
What’s your favorite part of being a mom?
Just seeing them grow. I'm so proud of my children, really knowing that they're their own individuals and watching their personalities take shape and seeing who they’re going to become. For me, it’s so satisfying to give them the tools they need, but then watch them form into these beautiful humans.
