How would you describe your skincare routine?

I like to keep things simple. As I've gotten older, I've scaled back on hoarding a ton of beauty products. Now I only buy ones I feel really make a difference. They’re investment pieces to me. Because my skin leans on the dryer side and discolors easily, I always have my top essentials, like SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic and Retinol 0.3.

Any other musts?

Sunscreen. For me, it always is because I'm using the vitamin C and the retinol. If I don't put on sunscreen, my skin will obviously become blotchy again. I like a mineral SPF 50 with a bit of tint.

Any great products you’ve learned about from friends?

After I had a peel years ago for my hyperpigmentation, a friend swore Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream would heal my parched, irritated skin because the products I was using at the time weren't helping. Within a few days of slathering on this cream, my skin was hydrated, healed and glowing. And it also works like a charm to combat any peeling or dryness from using my retinol at night.

What about an awesome product you’ve discovered on your own?
I finally found the perfect matte, nude lipstick, one that wasn't too brown or pink. It's soft and so pretty, a perfect Bardot, ’60s nude lip. It's from Nars—Pour Toujours. I’ve been on a hunt trying to find my perfect nude. This one fit the bill.

Where do you find inspiration?
When I travel. Meeting new people and immersing myself in their culture really opens up my heart and mind. I find so much beauty in learning about others.
What’s your best outdoor entertaining trick?
If you're in a pinch and need a bottle of wine—or otherwise—to chill quickly, grab any vessel, from a bucket to a vase, that will fit the bottle. It could even be a bag. Throw in some cold water and a decent amount of ice. In 15 to 20 minutes, that bottle will be almost as chilled as it would be from the fridge, and you’re ready to go.
