Trade & Brand Marketing Manager

Location: Georgetown, Washington D.C.


As a Manager of Stores and Brand Marketing you will be part of our Store and Event Marketing team whose mission is to increase awareness of and drive traffic to new and existing stores through innovative marketing and event programs.   These programs include traditional media, digital as well as experiential events. You will be focused on driving store traffic, increasing long-term loyalty, and giving client clients a reason to shop with Bluemercury first.

Store Marketing
  • Develop 360-degree marketing plans for Bluemercury’s new store openings, remodels, relocations and expansions

  • Supervise cross-functional marketing programs from creative kick-offs to store-level execution

  • Oversee execution of Lease Require Ad buys

  • Balance corporate or store marketing requests with field needs, timing, budget, seasonality and bandwidth

  • Collaborate with the Real Estate Development, Store Operations and Field/Store Leadership to create a robust and seamless client experience

  • Oversee visual merchandising strategy and projects

 Trade Marketing
  • Develop 360-degree marketing plans for partner brands

  • Supervise cross-functional marketing programs from creative kick-offs to store-level execution

  • Manage and optimize trade marketing budget

 Brand Marketing & Strategy
  • Initiate and write multi-channel marketing briefs, including client insight articulation, Bluemercury differentiators, key messages, demographic/local insight and media mix

  • Create maximum value out each individual budget - testing and learning to validate and optimize tactics including media and GWP promo effectiveness

  • Partner with partners to create holistic marketing programs, reduce costs and place bulk buys

  • Champion the marketing plans to a wide range of internal stakeholders, gaining alignment and support from all parts of the organization

  • Monitors and measures results to identify best practices.

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred
  • 5+ years work experience, preferably in marketing
  • Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Ability to navigate a complex organization and present to all levels of Headquarters and Field Leadership
  • A hands-on approach while being collaborative and a self-starter
  • Ability to self-pace, follow-through and keep partners on schedule in order to deliver on tight deadlines
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
