- Preparing the Space:
- Place the candle on a flat, heat-resistant surface.
- Protect delicate materials such as wood or marble by placing the candle on a tray or coaster.
- Keep the candle away from flammable materials.
- Keep the candle out of reach of children and pets.
- Lighting the Candle:
- Use a match to avoid any risk of burns.
- For the first burn, allow the candle to burn until the entire surface of the wax has liquefied (approximately 4 hours, depending on the fragrance). This prevents the wax from tunneling and ensures the wick is fully saturated, guaranteeing an even burn thereafter.
- The wick may emit a slight amount of smoke when first lit.
- While Burning:
- Do not let the candle burn for more than 4 consecutive hours after the initial burn.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Do not move a candle while it is lit or while the wax is still hot.
- Keep the candle away from drafts.
- Leave a distance of at least 10 cm (4 inches) between candles.
