If you’re short on time like us, then you’re likely cleaning yourself up at the gym before racing off to the office or your next errand. And while a good workout makes us feel amazing, it doesn’t make our hair look amazing. When it comes to post-workout hair, our go-to look is a polished ponytail that looks and feels clean (even though it’s not!) Check out our steps for how to do the perfect post-workout ponytail when you don’t have time to wash your hair.
1. Start with Dry Shampoo
Dry shampoo is a fitness girl’s best friend. Start by spraying R+Co Death Valley Dry Shampoo at your roots to soak up the extra oil and grime that built up during your workout. Next gather your hair up into a ponytail and secure it with an elastic.
To give this look that polish it needs and help you avoid looking like you just came out of the gym, we hide the elastic. Begin by taking a 1-inch section of your hair from the underside of your ponytail and wrap it around the elastic before tucking it into the band. Finish with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray or Oribe Freestyler Working Hairspray for medium hold and shine.
And voilà! Post-workout hair looks clean and pulled together (literally) in less than five minutes.
