For Diptyque, only chypre, a legendary accord with a thousand facets, could pay worthy tribute to the city of a thousand faces. A bouquet of roses verging on excess follows fresh bergamot spiced with pink peppercorns. Pepped with patchouli, free from moss it stands for liberty. An Eiffel Tower, roses, rolling calligraphy, a peacock with tail fanned, volutes, lines intertwined. To illustrate Eau Capitale, Diptyque and Pierre Marie drew their inspiration from Parisian architecture and iconic Art Nouveau buildings.
