Nasomatto, a conjoining of “Naso” and “Matto” translating from Italian to “the crazy nose”, was established in 2007 by Alessandro Gualtieri, also known as “The Nose”. An independent bohemian, who has created scents for Versace, Valentino, Helmut Lang, Fendi and more, Gualitieri was yearning to express his creativity in perfumery and to create something different. Alessandro Gualtieri has a visceral relationship with materials, everything is decisive – every ingredient and how it has been used, the way it develops after being combined with others, the bottle, the cap and the packaging are all well thought out processes.
