As skin is re-texturized, Kiehl's formula helps to facilitate the absorption of topical skin treatments to maximize their efficacy. This polishing cream is formulated with "diatomaceous earth"- crushed microcells derived from ocean sand - as well as a powerful ingredient used by dermatologists to perform micro-dermabrasion procedures.

- Micronized Shells: Natural silica powder from diatoms, tiny algae, used as a gentle exfoliant to remove dead skin cells from the surface.
- Shea Butter: Commonly found in lotions and cleansers, it hydrates, prevents dehydration, restores suppleness, and enhances the appearance of dry skin.
- Willow Herb: Known for its antimicrobial and soothing properties, it benefits the skin.
- Dispense a nickel-sized amount into the palm of your hand.
- Apply gently to clean, damp skin in an upward and outward circular motion, avoiding the eye area.
- For targeted body areas (hands, elbows, back, decollete), apply in a similar fashion.
- Continue treatment for approximately 30 seconds, but no more than two minutes.
- You can increase pressure slightly to enhance results, but monitor skin sensitivity closely.
- Rinsing:
- With your eyes closed, rinse with cool water.
- Gently pat dry.
- Expect some redness as skin is re-texturized.
- Aftercare:
- To soothe the skin after treatment, it's recommended to use this formula with Kiehl's Dermatologist Solutions' Centella Recovery Skin-Salve.
- Warnings:
- For external use only.
- Avoid irritated or damaged skin.
- Avoid contact with eyes, lips, and nostrils. If contact occurs, flush thoroughly.
- If irritation or rash appears, discontinue use and consult a physician.
- For adult use only.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Consult a physician before use if you are on any skin medication or have pre-existing skin conditions.
- Do not use within 24 hours of other exfoliation products (glycolic acid, chemical peels, acne medication, Retin-A).
- Protect your skin from the sun with SPF 15 or greater after using this product, as it may increase sensitivity.

- Do not use more frequently than three times per week.
